Pipe Fitter – Barrel Pipework
Location: South East/South West London
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Type: Full-time / Long-term Contract
We are recruiting for an experienced Pipe Fitter to work on Domestic and mechanical projects across South East/South West London.
The role will focus on the installation and modification of barrel/threaded pipework, with an emphasis on quality workmanship, accurate installation and working safely to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and modify barrel/threaded pipework on commercial and mechanical systems.
- Measure, cut and thread pipe accurately to specification.
- Install fittings, valves, supports and associated pipework components.
- Work from drawings, plans and specifications.
- Carry out pipework alterations, repairs and replacements as required.
- Ensure pipework is correctly aligned, supported and securely installed.
- Carry out testing and checks on completed pipework.
- Work safely and comply with site health & safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and professional working environment.
- Liaise with supervisors and other trades to ensure works are completed on schedule.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter.
- Strong experience working with barrel/threaded pipework.
- Confident using pipe threading equipment and associated tools.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut and thread pipe.
- Good understanding of mechanical pipework systems and fittings.
- Ability to read basic drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and reliability.
- Relevant site qualifications such as CSCS would be advantageous.
