Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home
Blackley - Manchester
£15.50 to £16.00 per hour
Shift pattern: 2 on, 4 off
160 hours per month
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a children’s residential home in the Blackley - Manchester.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has solid experience in children’s residential care and is ready to be part of a service that puts young people first.
You will need to be confident leading shifts, supporting staff, setting standards and helping to create a safe, stable and supportive home for children and young people.
What we need
- CYP Level 3 or 4 is essential
- Must be willing to work towards Level 5
- Must have at least 12 months’ experience working as a Team Leader in a children’s residential home or setting
- Must have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Must be reliable, organised and able to lead by example
The role
- Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the home
- Supporting and guiding staff on shift
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing and structured environment
- Building positive relationships with children and young people
- Making sure high standards of care are maintained
- Completing records, reports and handovers properly
- Supporting young people with daily routines, activities and outcomes
- Working in line with safeguarding and children’s home regulations
