Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Theatre Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of theatre facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for audiences and staff alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work, with an eye for detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. This position offers flexible hours suitable for those seeking part-time employment within a dynamic cultural setting.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise lobbies, restrooms, and backstage areas to meet health and safety standards
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all surfaces to maintain a pristine environment
- Disinfect high-touch areas regularly, including door handles, railings, and seating areas
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels in all facilities
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the management team promptly
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during cleaning operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and reliability in completing assigned tasks on time
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, evening/ early morning
- 4 hours once per week, to be completed Fridays before 4 pm or early Saturday morning, completed before 10 am
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and manoeuvring cleaning equipment
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment
