Job Overview:
We are a small company with a beautifully fitted out cosy venue which is thriving in the village of Crondall (just outside of Farnham, It's great rural pub serving exquisite wines, crisp beers and enlivening spirits and restaurant of just 26 covers with a freshly prepared from scratch al a carte menu.
We are seeking a charming, lively, charismatic, fun but overall hard working General Manager to join us and deal with the day to day management of the team. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our establishment. If you have a strong background in hospitality, food production, and leadership, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members to ensure efficient operations
- Assist in the preparation and production of food items according to established recipes and standards
- Monitor food safety practices to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
- Collaborate to develop and implement strategies for improving overall performance and profitability
- Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and standards
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff members and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Handle cash transactions accurately and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
