Maintenance Joiner
Looking for a static role where you can use your joinery skills but still get involved with general FM maintenance?
We’re recruiting for 3 Maintenance Joiners to join an established engineering team on a large retail and leisure site in Liverpool.
This is a varied role carrying out joinery repairs, general fabric maintenance and PPM duties across a busy customer-facing environment.
The Role
As a Maintenance Joiner, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the site
- Completing joinery repairs including doors, frames, locks, handles and closers
- Carrying out fire door inspections and minor remedial works
- Responding to reactive fabric maintenance issues
- Emergency lighting checks
- Legionella checks and water flushing
- Water temperature checks
- General building repairs and making good
- Basic decorating and painting
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Assisting with porter duties and moving equipment where required
- Supporting seasonal set-up works
- Overseeing subcontractors when required
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a good standard
Requirements
To be considered for this Maintenance Joiner role, you’ll need:
- NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery, Carpentry & Joinery, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Strong hands-on joinery/carpentry experience
- Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Maintenance or a similar environment
- Experience carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance
- Experience with fire doors is highly desirable
- Comfortable carrying out basic compliance checks such as emergency lighting and legionella duties
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a busy public-facing environment
Working Pattern
- 4 on 4 off
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotating shift times between 07:00 and 22:00
- Static site
Call Out
- 1 in 6 rota
- £150 standby payment
- Company van provided while on call
Salary & Benefits
