Amelia House Nursery is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager(Level 3) to join our nursery setting in London City Island. Located near Canning Town Station - easy access via Jubilee Line and DLR.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional with experience working with babies under 2 who is ready to lead a team and create a high-quality learning environment. Immediate Start available once suitable references are provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Baby Room team (another Deputy Manager supports the toddlers and preschooler room)
- Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Complete observations, assessments and learning journeys
- Maintain a safe, stimulating nursery environment
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers
Requirements
- Level 3 Childcare qualification or above (Essential)
- Experience working in a nursery (under 2s, toddlers and preschoolers)
- Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
