Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Waitress / Housekeeper to join our family run dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere during breakfast hours. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements in a courteous manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve breakfast dishes and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
- Clear tables efficiently and reset for incoming guests to maintain smooth service flow
- Handle guest queries professionally and resolve any issues promptly
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, counters, and utensils
- Manage cash register operations accurately during service
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work mornings during breakfast hours; weekend availability is preferred but not mandatory
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team success
Pay: £13.00 per hour
