Location: Weston-super-Mare, covering Somerset, Bristol, Bath and the wider South West
Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 plus KPI bonuses

Wired Weston is a growing, forward-thinking electrical contractor based in Weston-super-Mare. We work across domestic, commercial and social-housing contracts, delivering everything from kitchen installations and rewires to electrical testing, CCTV and fire-alarm systems.

The role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician who can work independently, take ownership of allocated jobs and support an apprentice when required.
You will carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding work while maintaining high standards of safety, workmanship and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Carry out first- and second-fix electrical installations.
- Complete domestic, commercial and social-housing electrical work.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical circuits and equipment.
- Undertake electrical inspections, testing and EICRs where appropriately qualified.
- Complete job sheets, reports and electrical certification accurately and promptly.
- Take responsibility for allocated jobs from arrival through to completion and reporting.
- Work in accordance with the current edition of BS 7671, relevant best-practice guidance and company safety procedures.
- Work effectively with apprentices, colleagues, clients and other trades.
- Look after the company van, tools, test equipment and other company property.
- Maintain a tidy, respectful and professional working environment, particularly in customers’ homes.
Requirements
- Recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Proven experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge electrical regulations.
- Ability to read plans, specifications and drawings.
- Ability to work independently and supervise or support an apprentice.
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical, proactive approach.
- Ability to complete job records and electrical certificates accurately.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
An 18th Edition qualification and Inspection and Testing qualification are desirable. Training may be available for the right candidate.
