Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill this part-time position. Previous retail experience is a plus but not essential, as training will be provided. You must be comfortable working alone and opening/closing the shop.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional, friendly, and enthusiastic manner with customers.
- Sales Processing: Process payments accurately and with integrity.
- Promotion: Actively promote and highlight offers to customers.
- Product Display: Present and display products correctly.
- Stock Management: Ensure all stock is coded, priced, and has the correct point of sale.
- Inventory Handling: Receive and unpack deliveries.
- Communication: Provide relevant information to the Store Manager (e.g., customer requests, product shortages).
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is tidy, presentable, and hygienic.
- Procedures Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and security procedures.
- Additional Tasks: Assist with inventory management and stock rotation. Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Must be over 18 years old.
- Previous retail experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Comfortable working alone and capable of opening/closing the shop.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks like lifting.
