Pastelle Kitchen & Events is a cool pop-up restaurant and events business based in York. While predominantly hosting events in our intimate space off Leeman Road there will be some events off-site which will need to be attended such as weddings, corporate events and birthdays.
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate must have a passion for food and drink, will have a strong background in bar and food service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. A minimum of one year’s experience in a supervisory role is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing the venue, ensuring it is safe, organised, and fully prepared for service
- Leading, motivating, and supporting a small team, including effective delegation of tasks
- Managing restaurant evenings and events, ensuring all details are delivered accurately and to a high standard
- Preparing and setting up the venue for service and special events
- Communicating clearly and effectively with the kitchen team
- Delivering excellent customer service, including greeting guests and taking orders
- Preparing and serving drinks to a high standard, including cocktails and wine
- Ensuring all health and safety standards are consistently followed
- Handling any issues or guest queries professionally and efficiently
- Ensuring client and guest needs are met at all times
- Managing tabs and processing payments accurately
- Overseeing bar stock rotation and stock control
