The Acton at Morville is looking for an experienced and ambitious Bar & Restaurant Supervisor to join our management team.
The Acton is a 2 AA Rosette pub and restaurant with premium bedrooms, focused on delivering exceptional food, drink and hospitality in a relaxed but professional environment.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, takes pride in high standards and is ready to take responsibility for leading a team and running great services.
The Role
Working alongside our Restaurant Manager and wider management team, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant and bar.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading restaurant and bar services
- Supervising and supporting the front-of-house team
- Ensuring consistently high standards of service and hospitality
- Briefing the team before service and allocating sections and responsibilities
- Building strong relationships with guests and handling feedback professionally
- Maintaining excellent presentation and cleanliness throughout the venue
- Supporting wine, cocktail and drinks service
- Training and developing members of the FOH team
- Opening and closing the business when required
- Cash handling and end-of-day procedures
- Supporting stock control and maintaining bar standards
- Working closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a busy, quality-led restaurant, pub or hotel
- Has supervisory experience, or is an experienced FOH professional ready to step into supervision
- Is confident leading a team during busy services
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Understands what great hospitality looks and feels like
- Is organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility
- Has a genuine interest in food, wine and drinks
- Wants to learn, develop and progress within hospitality
Experience within a rosette, fine-dining or premium hospitality environment would be beneficial, but attitude, standards and potential are equally important.
