Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our distribution centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating fulfilment activities, managing and supporting warehouse operatives, and ensuring that orders are processed accurately and on time. This role requires previous experience using a warehouse management system and a strong understanding of day-to-day warehouse procedures.
This is a hands-on leadership position, and the successful candidate will be expected to assist with operational duties when required.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, support and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational targets.
· Plan and coordinate daily fulfilment activities, including picking, packing, labelling, dispatch and stock handling.
· Ensure orders are processed accurately and within the required timescales.
· Allocate workloads and monitor team attendance, productivity and performance.
· Provide coaching, feedback and on-the-job training to team members.
· Use the company’s warehouse management system to process orders, update inventory records and maintain accurate operational documentation.
· Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, order-processing issues and other operational problems.
· Carry out other reasonable duties in response to changing business requirements.
Essential Requirements
· At least 2 years’ experience using a warehouse management system or order fulfilment system in a logistics, fulfilment or warehouse environment.
· Previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or in a similar people-management role.
· Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, goods-in, dispatch and inventory control.
· Experience working in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures.
· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to organise, motivate and support a team.
· Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to operational issues.
· High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically active warehouse environment.
· Ability to communicate professionally in [Mandarin and/or Cantonese] with Chinese-speaking customers when required.
· Willingness to work additional hours and occasional weekends according to business needs.
· Willingness and ability to undertake key-holder responsibilities.
Desirable Requirements
· Experience using WMS System.
· Experience in e-commerce fulfilment, particularly orders from platforms such as Amazon and eBay.
· Experience training or onboarding warehouse employees.
· Experience with stock control, inventory investigations and performance reporting.
Working Arrangements
· Location: Rugby Branch
· Guaranteed hours: 20 hours per week
· Typical working days: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
· Working hours: Candidates must be available to work between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. Additional hours may occasionally be required according to operational needs.
· Additional hours: Subject to business requirements, there are opportunities to work up to 40 hours or more per week.
· Salary: £3200-3300 per month
· Reports to: Warehouse Manager/Operations Manager
