Senior Support Worker – Heathfield House
£13.35 per hour, 40 hours per week (Split between delivering support and
supernumerary) permanent contract
We provide high-quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities within a
residential care home setting within Staffordshire Moorlands.

The people we support have a range of needs, including learning disabilities, physical
disabilities, and mental health needs. Each individual is unique, with their own
preferences, routines, and interests, and we are committed to delivering person-centred

As part of our team, you will support residents with daily living activities, including
personal care, administering medication, preparing meals, and supporting with everyday
household tasks. Just as importantly, you will encourage and empower individuals to
make choices, build confidence, and take part in activities that bring them joy and
meaning.

Due to the expansion of the service, we are now looking for a Senior Support Worker to
support our Registered Manager with the daily running of the home.
We expect our Senior Support Worker to have an excellent understanding of regulation,
legislation and experience in supporting an established team in ensuring the service
provision is individualised and person centred to each client’s needs.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for our clients.
You will report to the Registered Manager and your duties will include:
- Reviewing of person centred support plans and risk assessments
- Completing compliance checks throughout the staff team, inc Supervisions, Spot Checks, Competency Assessments including training / shadowing requirements.
- Audits
- Reviews and professional meetings
- Assisting with On-Call duties
Senior Support Workers are also required to build positive relationships with
vulnerable adults, enhance their independence, and improve their quality of life, if

What we are looking for:
- The ability to build positive professional relationships with service users and colleagues
- Someone who offers consistent and friendly support with attention to detail
- Good judgement and sense of responsibility with limited supervision
- Experience of supporting customers with learning disabilities, mental health needs
- The ability to communicate within diverse environment

- PeoplePlanner – For all rostering, compliance and the generation of invoices
- Gsuite – For calendar and all other documentation purposes
Experience and requirements:
- Extensive care experience, (essential)
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker (desirable)
- Driver with access to their own vehicle (essential)
- Experience of carrying out medication supervisions, care certificate observations, completing spot checks on staff, quality monitoring call and visits to customers
- Organisational skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
