The Role
We are recruiting caring and dependable Bank Domiciliary Care Assistants to support clients across Camberley, Wokingham,and the surrounding areas.
As a bank care assistant, you will be part of our flexible care team and may be contacted when shifts become available.
There are no guaranteed hours, so this position is suitable for someone looking for flexible work.
You will travel between clients’ homes and provide support based on each person’s individual care plan.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
- Assisting with mobility, transfers and the use of mobility equipment.
- Supporting clients with medication in line with their care plan and company procedures.
- Preparing meals and drinks and supporting clients with eating and drinking where required.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Assisting with light household duties, such as laundry, tidying and changing bedding.
- Supporting clients with shopping, appointments and activities in the community.
- Monitoring clients’ wellbeing and reporting any concerns or changes promptly.
- Completing accurate care notes and records after each visit.
- Following care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and infection-control guidance.
- Promoting clients’ independence, dignity, privacy and personal choice at all times.
- Communicating professionally with clients, relatives, colleagues and healthcare professionals.

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as training and support can be provided to suitable candidates.
Travel Requirements
As this is a community-based role, applicants should ideally:
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Have access to a reliable car for work purposes.
- Have appropriate business-use vehicle insurance.
Applicants without a car may still be considered where they can demonstrate that they have reliable transport and can travel between care visits within the required timescales.
Availability
Bank care assistants may be offered shifts during:
- Mornings.
- Afternoons.
- Evenings.
- Weekends.
- Bank holidays.
- Periods of staff sickness or annual leave.
You will be able to inform us of your availability; however, bank hours are not guaranteed and will depend on the needs of the service.
Essential Requirements
- The right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
- Ability to travel reliably between clients’ homes.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to complete care records accurately.
- A caring, professional and responsible approach.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, residential care or healthcare.
- Care Certificate or relevant health and social care qualification.
- Experience supporting older people, people with dementia or individuals with additional care needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, medication support and person-centred care.
