Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help design, build, and operate scalable SaaS applications. This role emphasizes modern JavaScript development (Next.js / Node.js) combined with strong cloud and DevOps ownership on AWS.
You will work on a production SaaS codebase, collaborate closely with business stakeholders, and operate systems in real-world conditions. The ideal candidate is hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable owning features from design through deployment.
Please Note
- We are not able to provide any sponsorship.
- Local candidates are preferred for this onsite role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable SaaS applications using Next.js and/or Node.js.
- Own full-stack development across frontend, backend APIs, and data integrations using JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform, including services such as VPC, EC2/ECS/EKS (as applicable), S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability to support production systems.
- Support and evolve large, long-lived codebases, focusing on performance, maintainability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in on-call support (including occasional weekends) for production systems.
- Work closely with a distributed team via Zoom during overlapping US working hours.
- Design technical solutions, translate business requirements into actionable plans, and present updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience building SaaS applications using Next.js and/or Node.js.
- Strong full-stack development skills with JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and production support.
- Experience working with production systems, large codebases, and real-world operational constraints.
- Ability to reason about system design, trade-offs, and scalability.
- Comfortable collaborating in a remote-first environment and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
AI / LLM Exposure (Required)
- General awareness of how AI and LLMs are applied in modern software engineering, such as:
- API-based LLM integrations (e.g., OpenAI-style APIs)
- Developer tooling, copilots, or AI-assisted workflowsPrompting, embeddings, or basic RAG concepts
- Exposure may come from professional work, academic projects, personal experimentation, or self-directed learning.
- Strong interest in applying AI tools pragmatically to improve developer productivity and product capabilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience or exposure to big data or analytics systems (e.g., Spark, data pipelines, BI tools).
- Experience working in high-growth SaaS or startup environments.
- Experience with container orchestration (EKS, ECS, or similar).
- Familiarity with modern deployment platforms or tooling (e.g., Vercel, Render, Supabase).
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- You can independently deliver production-ready features end-to-end.
- You take ownership of both code and infrastructure, not just one or the other.
- You understand how modern teams apply AI/LLMs as tooling and product capabilities, even if you’re not an ML specialist.
- You make pragmatic engineering decisions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
We offer a flexible work environment that supports both in-office collaboration and remote work. While this is not a fully remote position, team members have the flexibility to work remotely when appropriate.
