Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient *Barista* to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills within the food and beverage industry, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. You will also be required to make sandwiches and other light bites.
Previous experience is preferred and comprehensive training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during preparation and service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in accordance with health regulations
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with basic maths skills
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in food preparation tasks when required, supporting overall operations
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the hospitality industry
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Basic maths proficiency for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail during busy hours

You will be working from a 2 week rota with day shifts as follows:
Week One: Mon, Fri, Sat & Sun
Week Two: Tues, Wed, Thurs
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 32 per week
