Receptionist / Dental Nurse (Dual Role)

Position: Full-Time | Private Dental Practice
We're excited to be opening a brand-new, modern private dental practice in the heart of Stockport and are looking for a friendly, professional, and adaptable Receptionist who can also provide Dental Nurse cover when required.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll create a warm and welcoming experience, manage appointments, handle enquiries, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. When needed, you'll assist our clinical team by providing chairside dental nursing support.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage appointment scheduling efficiently
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and handle patient correspondence
- Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments and materials
- Ensure patient comfort and provide basic patient care as required
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and updating patient information
- Uphold infection control protocols and ensure the clinical environment remains clean and organised
Qualifications
- Prior experience in patient care or nursing is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentally)
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and basic nursing practices is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work as part of a team with a caring attitude towards patients
