We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, while following proper manual handling procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times and address any issues
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure the security of goods during transit and handle goods with care to prevent damage
The ideal candidate will be reliable, hard working, good at managing work load and great time keeping.
The job can differ day to day as we sub contract from various clients, your hours will Start from around 5:30am until the depot need you there is no set finishing time. So we need someone who is flexible, willing to put in hard work and also enjoy the benefits when you may have an earlier finishing time.
You will leave from our yard in Moreton each morning carry out your days work and back to the yard each night. The van you will be issued with is a Luton van so you must be a confident driver and over the age of 25.
Ideally experienced in driving a Luton van.
Sensible workwear is a must as you will be representing our company and you have to look and act respectful at all time
