Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at a busy pub in Inverness city centre.
This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred, but full training will be provided for suitable candidates. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a safe, welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.
Flexible hours including weekends to ensure the bar is fully prepared to open by 9.30am each morning.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal spaces to ensure compliance with health standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, and surfaces using suitable cleaning equipment and products
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning activities
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards hygiene standards
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately

Pay: From £14.25 per hour
