We are seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join our reputable accountancy practice.
The successful candidate will be working closely with one of our Client Managers and their team in looking after a varied portfolio of clients. The role will primarily involve preparing accounts and tax returns, VAT returns and management accounts, whilst providing day-to-day support to clients with their accounting and tax queries.
This position is ideal for someone who has completed, or is studying towards, AAT Level 4 and is looking to progress onto ACCA. We offer a generous study support package along with genuine opportunities for career progression within the firm.
We are a small and friendly team that provides excellent support for our staff. Whilst training will be provided, previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts for limited companies, ready for review by the Client Manager or Director.
- Prepare personal tax returns.
- Prepare MTD ITSA and VAT returns.
- Prepare management accounts.
- Liaise with clients to answer day-to-day queries.
- Support the Client Manager with their portfolio as required.
Requirements
- AAT Level 4 qualified or currently studying towards AAT Level 4.
- Two to four years' experience working in an accountancy practice.
- Experience preparing accounts, tax returns and VAT returns.
- Familiarity with accounting software. Experience with TaxCalc and QuickBooks would be an advantage.
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
