Job summary:
We are looking for a welcoming and organised individual to join our team, playing a key role in creating a positive first impression for patients and visitors, both in person and over the telephone. You will be at the heart of the practice, helping patients access the care and support they need in a professional, efficient, and compassionate manner.
In this role, you will:
- Provide a friendly and efficient reception service, ensuring all patients and visitors feel supported and valued.
- Assist patients in accessing the most appropriate services or healthcare professionals.
- Manage general enquiries, explain procedures clearly, and book new and follow-up appointments.
- Support new and temporary patients by guiding them through registration processes and practice procedures.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls, taking accurate messages and ensuring they are passed on promptly.
- Process repeat prescription requests, ensuring they are completed within agreed timescales.
- Accurately input and maintain patient information using the clinical system.
You will also play an important role in maintaining patient records, ensuring they are well organised, accurate, and handled with care at all times.
As part of the wider team, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, including opening and closing the premises when required and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
While the role is primarily based at The Bridge Surgery, there may occasionally be a requirement to work across other sites, offering variety and the opportunity to support the wider team.
