Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out construction and repair tasks efficiently.
- Perform bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and welding duties as required on-site.
- Assist in the installation of structures, walls, roofs, or other building components with precision and attention to detail.
- Follow technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas and materials to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bricklaying, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction work.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- A valid relevant qualification or certification in trades such as masonry, carpentry or welding is advantageous but not essential.
