Wood Leisure has an exciting opportunity for a friendly, organised and customer-focused individual to join our Head Office team as a Reservations Assistant, based at Head Office at Blairgowrie Holiday Park (PH10 7AL). We are a family-run company with six holiday parks across Scotland and over 40 years’ experience in the holiday park industry. As part of our Reservations Team, you will support guests with enquiries, amendments, booking support, follow-up communication and taking bookings where required, across phone, email and online systems. You will help provide a smooth and friendly guest experience from initial enquiry through to arrival and beyond. This role would suit someone with strong communication skills, good attention to detail, confidence using IT systems and the ability to stay organised while managing a varied workload in a busy, customer-focused environment. You will work closely with our Head Office departments and Park Teams, reporting to the Reservations Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Previous customer service or administration experience required
- Friendly, approachable and confident when speaking with customers
- Good communication skills and a positive approach to customer care
- Confident with IT systems and Microsoft Office
- Able to stay organised, multi-task and manage a varied workload
- Works well as part of a team and on own initiative
- Reliable, willing to learn and happy to support where needed
- A valid driving licence for occasional travel to other holiday parks
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out day-to-day reservations tasks, including supporting online bookings, taking bookings when required, managing enquiries and amendments, and helping to ensure a smooth booking process with excellent customer service
- Guiding customers through their journey from initial contact to customer review
- Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email, including booking support, amendments, questions and follow-up communication
- Providing consistency across the business to provide an excellent guest experience
- Collaborating with and supporting Park and Head Office Teams
- Responding to customer feedback by showing understanding and empathy, with the ability to provide a positive outcome for the guest and the business
- Participating in an evening phone on-call support after the probation period.
We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants, with hours generally ranging from 20 to 37.5 hours per week. Working hours will vary depending on the role pattern agreed and business needs. Shifts are worked on a rota basis between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, including weekends, so flexibility is required.
