Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Patcham Nursing Home is looking for an experienced and motivated Clinical Deputy Manager to join our senior leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on clinical practice with leadership, helping to deliver outstanding nursing care while supporting and developing a dedicated team.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving quality improvement, and creating a positive culture where residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
About the Role
As Clinical Deputy Manager, you'll be a visible and approachable leader, supporting the day-to-day management of the home while maintaining strong clinical oversight.
This is a balanced role, allowing you to remain connected to residents and your team while leading on governance, compliance and service improvement.
Working Pattern
- 40 hours per week
- 12 hours providing clinical leadership on the floor
- 28 hours dedicated to management and leadership responsibilities
- Monday to Sunday rota, including alternate weekends
- Participation in the on-call rota
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong clinical leadership across the nursing home.
- Support the Registered Manager with the operational management of the service.
- Ensure the highest standards of nursing care and clinical practice.
- Lead care planning, clinical assessments and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with CQC regulations, governance and quality standards.
- Complete clinical audits and implement continuous quality improvements.
- Promote safeguarding, infection prevention and medication best practice.
- Coach, mentor and support Registered Nurses and Care Teams.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, GPs and external healthcare professionals.
- Foster a culture of kindness, dignity, teamwork and continuous improvement.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and developing others.
You will have:
- A current Registered Nurse qualification (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Previous experience in a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Senior Nurse or similar leadership role.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance and quality assurance.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence in leading teams, managing change and driving service improvements.
- A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
