Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Front of House (FOH) Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves delivering excellent customer service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests have a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will be organised, friendly, and able to work efficiently during busy periods. Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders in a professional manner
- Serve drinks and food promptly whilst maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Ensure the bar area remains clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout your shift
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including any specials or promotions
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of shifts
- Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and addressing any queries or concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or food service environments is advantageous
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Effective time management to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Personable attitude with strong communication skills
