Location: Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU.
Pay: £13.90 per hour. Plus, an additional 71p per hour when hours exceed 8pm. Saturday's paid at time and a half.
Around 65,000 veg boxes leave our farm in Devon every week. As a member of our warehouse team you will work with a number of other departments to ensure that we create consistently great quality boxes for our customers.
This is a varied and very active role. Veg will arrive at goods in and once it has been booked in will get stored in the right fridge. We also receive a number of chilled products that need to be correctly stored. Your job is to move these products to wherever they are needed in the business. Whether its delivering carrots to go in a veg box or butter to go in a recipe box. You need to make sure that all our teams have what they need to keep production running smoothly.
We keep track of our stock with an electronic system so you will be responsible for making sure that we are always up to date with what has been moved where. You will get full training on this as well as for the electric pallet trucks we use to move stock around.
- Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a production or warehousing environment
- Must be comfortable working in a cold environment
- You must be able to lift and manoeuvre crates of produce and veg boxes
- You should have good communication skills and be able to speak and understand English to a level that enables you to comprehend instructions and the daily requirements of the role
