Hercules Plc are a leading Civil Engineering and Construction company based in a modern head office in South Cerney, near Cirencester and Swindon.
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organised Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team. This role is responsible for supporting accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail when handling large volumes of sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of a weekly and monthly PAYE or CIS payroll
- Assist in resolving payroll and pension queries from managers and employees
- Reconciling and uploading pension contributions
- Processing of P45’s and P60’s
- Processing starters, leavers and changes, both PAYE and CIS
- Manual sickness calculations
- Average Holiday Pay calculations
- Processing of third party payments
- Supporting with timesheet inputting
- Checking payroll input pre-live
- Supporting the Payroll Manager with ad hoc tasks
- Supporting with regular audits
- Improving processes where required
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to confidently speak with a range of people on the phone
- Good Outlook and Excel skills
- Can self-motivate but also work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and highly accurate
- Experienced with weekly payrolls
- Ability to work under pressure
