Job Title: Cleaning Operative

Pay Rate: £13.00
Hours: Dedicated relief - Covering sickness / holidays shift times, hours flexible between 06.00 - 21.00
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Cleaner to join our team within a busy retail environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a team to create a safe, welcoming, and pleasant environment for customers, retailers, and staff.
As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard, including public areas, service areas, and facilities. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of Cheshire Oaks by keeping the environment clean, tidy, and presentable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Collect, sort, and dispose of waste correctly, including separating recyclable materials into designated recycling receptacles for collection
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the service road and operational areas
- Clean and maintain public toilet facilities to a high hygiene standard
- Monitor and respond to cleaning requirements throughout Cheshire Oaks
- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed safely and efficiently in line with company procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate team members
- Complete any other reasonable cleaning-related tasks as required
Requirements:
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent standards
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
