This role is for Shared Service for Housing not Wandle Housing Association.
Procurement Officer
£39,462 per annum – Permanent – Full Time – Remote
This is a great opportunity to join a growing team at Shared Services for Housing. As the next Procurement Officer, you’ll take real ownership of procurement activity end-to-end, advising Members, shaping policy and processes, and helping SSfH deliver value across its growing membership.
You’ll be a trusted partner to stakeholders, bringing both compliance and practical problem solving to everything you do.
Who are Shared Services for Housing?
We are a shared service that provides procurement support services in the social housing sector. We were established in April 2025 as a collaborative company, and that very much drives our ethos; both in terms of how we interact with our Members, as well as how we work together as a procurement team (although collaboration may break down when discussing “should pineapple be allowed on pizza?!”).
As we grow, we’re building a dynamic, ambitious team who want to make a real difference to our Members and their residents; do you want to be part of this?
What you’ll be doing:
Relationship management with members of the shared service
Delivery of end-to-end procurement activity, compliant with internal Rules and national legislation
Contribute to the development and maintenance of procurement policies, best practice guidance and template documentation
What we are looking for:
Evidence of delivering procurement activities within the public sector using a variety of routes to market
Effectively manage and prioritise work demands and priorities
Data accuracy; inputting, maintenance and management
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work on own initiative with considerable self-motivation (especially as this is a circa 98% home based role)
Track record of providing expert, trusted advice to a variety of stakeholders
Pragmatic problem solver and conflict management resolution skills
