About Us
We are a busy professional family looking for a reliable, proactive, and dedicated individual to keep our household running smoothly. We have two teenage girls who are in full time education. They are largely self-sufficient, but we value a candidate with a childcare background who can gently encourage their independence, self-management, and daily routines.
The Role
We deeply value a clean, organised, and peaceful living space. While a separate cleaning team attends weekly for deep cleaning, your role is focused on daily upkeep, high-level organisation, and smooth household management. You must be comfortable working independently, following specific instructions, and suggesting proactive improvements to our home routine.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Upkeep: General tidying, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping to maintain a high standard between deep cleans.
- Laundry Management: Handling all family laundry, including changing bed sheets, ironing, and putting clothes away.
- Wardrobe Organisation: Maintaining neat, organised drawers and wardrobes, while guiding the teenagers to manage their own spaces.
- Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing fresh family meals.
- Errands & Shopping: Using your own vehicle for grocery shopping, food stock, and general household errands.
- School drop- offs / pick- up: Providing school drop-offs or pick-ups, travel to / from after school clubs.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Proven background in household management or high-end housekeeping.
- Childcare Background: Essential for communicating effectively with teenagers and encouraging life skills.
- Driving: A valid driving licence and use of your own reliable car is essential for this role.
- Attributes: Trustworthy, detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to work independently.
- Advanced DBS check
