About the Role:
Birmingham is a city built on innovation and industry, and at Vogehs Innovation Group Ltd, we bring that same driven spirit to modern technology solutions. We deliver reliable, high-performing IT systems that empower businesses to run smoothly and scale effectively. We believe that IT support should be proactive, seamless, and user-focused. We are looking for an IT Support Engineer who can take ownership of our technical environment. You aren't just closing tickets; you are defining our support standards and system reliability. You will serve as the technical backbone of our operations, bridging the gap between complex infrastructure requirements and everyday end-user needs. You are the advocate for seamless technology in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Our office is located in the heart of Birmingham. We value a workplace that fosters productivity—think modern workstations, reliable tools, and a great team atmosphere.
- Tech-First Culture: We don't need you to convince us that IT infrastructure matters. We know it does. You will have a voice in shaping our technical stack and IT workflows from Day 1.
- Modern Stack: We work with up-to-date hardware, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 cloud systems, keeping our infrastructure modern and secure.
- Growth: You will have access to training resources and certification opportunities to keep your technical skills sharp and advance your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support Ownership: Provide 1st and 2nd line support across hardware, software, and network systems. Maintain consistency and reliability across all user endpoints.
- End-to-End Troubleshooting: Lead the technical resolution process from initial incident logging and diagnosis to root-cause resolution and user handoff.
- System Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies using Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor network connectivity, system health, and backup integrity to prevent downtime before it happens.
- Documentation & Communication: Document technical processes and support tickets clearly. Explain technical issues clearly to non-technical team members and management.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years in an IT Support, Technical Helpdesk, or Systems Support role.
- Technical Skills: Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and core networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Tooling: Proficient with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and hardware configuration techniques.
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in English (verbal and written) is required for clear user communication and technical documentation.
- Mindset: You are pragmatic and service-oriented. You know how to prioritize urgent issues while ensuring long-term technical stability.
Pay: £28,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
