Warehouse / Production Operative – Night Shift

6-Month Fixed-Term Contract – Strong Potential to Become Permanent
We are recruiting for an established and highly successful manufacturing business in Dartford that is looking to add a Warehouse / Production Operative to its night-shift team.
This is a hands-on, physical position working within a clean and highly regulated manufacturing environment.
The position will initially be offered on a six-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.
The Role
You'll be working as part of the production team, helping to prepare raw materials and ingredients for the manufacturing process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Weighing and measuring ingredients accurately according to production requirements
- Manually loading materials into specialist production and blending machinery
- Regularly lifting and handling bags weighing up to 25kg
- Supporting the mixing and blending process
- Thoroughly cleaning blenders and equipment between production batches
- Following strict hygiene, quality and health & safety procedures
- Completing basic production and batch documentation
- Keeping production and warehouse areas clean and organised
- Wearing the required PPE, including respiratory protective equipment
About You
This is a physical role, so you will need to be comfortable with regular manual handling and lifting throughout your shift.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is physically fit and comfortable lifting up to 25kg
- Is happy working permanent night shifts
- Is comfortable wearing respiratory protective equipment
- Has strong attention to detail
- Can accurately weigh and measure materials
- Is reliable and able to follow set processes and procedures
- Is comfortable working within a manufacturing environment
- Lives within a realistic commuting distance of Dartford
Previous experience within production, manufacturing, warehousing, food production, chemicals or another regulated environment would be advantageous, although the right attitude and reliability are equally important.

Sunday to Thursday
10:00pm – 6:00am
Salary
£26,000 basic salary + 25% night shift allowance, taking the total annual salary to £32,500 pro rata.
Contract
Initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong opportunity to become permanent.
