Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our care home. The ideal candidate will ensure bedrooms and lounge/dining areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation, contributing to a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for all residents & visitors. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and lounge/dining areas according to established standards
- Change bed linens, replenish amenities, and ensure all surfaces are spotless
- Maintain cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, and other communal spaces
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Restock cleaning supplies and guest amenities as required
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Follow organisational procedures for waste disposal and linen handling
- Assist with additional cleaning tasks during busy periods or special events
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- A positive approach towards guest service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Pay: £12.90 per hour
