Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team small team based around Bromsgrove. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing so a driving licence and access to a car is essential. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily living activities. A strong ability to communicate effectively in English is essential, as well as a willingness to drive to various locations as needed.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with other staff members to implement individual care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the living environment for clients.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to drive and travel between client locations as required.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
- A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
