MYM Recruitment are working with our Cookstown client who have an immediate requirement for an experienced Machine/General Operative. The purpose of the role will be to undertake the operation and maintenance of machinery involved in the manufacturing process.
7am – 4pm Monday to Thursday 7am - 2.15pm Friday
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Operate machinery and equipment in line with company procedures and safety standards
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure consistent performance
- Carry out basic maintenance and report any faults or issues
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Perform general labouring duties as required across the site
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and hazard-free
- Follow all health and safety guidelines at all times
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable but not essential
- Forklift experience essential
- Ability to operate machinery (training provided if required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adherence and appreciation for H&S and general housekeeping standards.
- Ability to work quickly to meet production deadlines.
- Experience of effective communication to team members.
