SEMH Teacher | Flexible Supply & Long-Term Roles
Are you an empathetic, resilient, and motivated teacher with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? U-Educate is looking for dedicated SEMH Teachers to work across specialist schools, alternative provisions, and inclusive settings throughout Gosport and the surrounding areas.

The Role
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement, resilience, and confidence.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and individual support plans effectively.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, therapists, SENCOs, and families to support pupil development.
- Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or within specialist education settings.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.

Work Location: In person
