Westfield Medical Limited, a leading UK manufacturer of sterilisation barrier systems, is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant – Accounts Payable.
You will need to be a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance Assistant with experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and payment handling. We require experience in maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting month-end processes in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to communicate with all departments within the organisation and external suppliers.
Responsibilities and duties
- Posting of supplier invoices, matching against GRN’s
- Scanning of invoices and GRN’s against the posted invoice
- Reconciling purchase orders to invoices received
- Communicating with relevant suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Monthly deferment account reconciliations
- Setup new suppliers on the ERP system
- Prepare weekly supplier payment run and any other faster payments
- Posting Bank Payments and reconciling the bank accounts
- Booking in Goods Received
- Manage N2F expenses
- Save car and van journeys each month
- Aged report for cash flow each Monday
- Assisting with the annual External Audit
- Sort, distribute incoming post and take to the post box any letters, etc
Qualifications and skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Managing workload to achieve all duties
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
- Problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Maths GCSE 4/C
- Working knowledge of general accounting procedures
This position is full-time, covering 34.5 hours over a 5-day week.
Pay: Up to £32,000.00 per year
