Overview
We are seeking a full time Internal Account Manager for our client based in Newmarket, Suffolk. The role holder will report to the Internal Sales Lead, and the primary purpose of the job will be to manage customer orders and enquires in order to drive sales and margin. Working alongside an external Area Sales Manager, in order to provide exceptional customer service, account management and efficient sales administration.
Duties
- Taking incoming sales enquiries and orders
- Processing sales orders and quotes
- Managing the sales in-box and processing emailed sales orders and enquiries
- Processing literature and sample requests
- Managing key accounts as the internal contact, monitoring activity
- Liaising with the Purchasing, Accounts and Logistics teams to fulfil customer requirements
- Processing web sales orders
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers for special/bespoke products
- Arranging B2B purchase orders
- Sales order admin from previous day
- Processing customer goods returns
- Implement price increases as required, to maintain and grow GP
- Constantly looking for ways to drive sales processes to increase productivity within the team ate smooth transition processes.
- Monitor client satisfaction levels and proactively address concerns or complaints to foster loyalty.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market developments relevant to clients’ needs.
Qualifications
- Some experience in account management, sales, or customer service roles is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanour.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to analyse data and generate insightful reports for clients and internal teams.
- A proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
