Overview
Rebus Jetcut is an engineering company based on the A1 outside Banbridge, specialising in metal fabrication, laser cutting, powder coating and shot blasting. Due to continued expansion we are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication and mechanical processes to contribute to high-quality production.
Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines according to specifications and technical drawings
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate bends and shapes of sheet metal parts
- Inspect finished components for quality, ensuring they meet specified tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to maintain optimal operation
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Utilise hand tools, tooling, and measurement devices such as calipers and gauges for precise work
- Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading sheet metal sheets
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience operating press brake machinery in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is essential
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including welding, grinding, and assembly is advantageous
- Familiarity with mechanical principles related to tooling and machine setup
- Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations required during setup and quality checks
- Experience working with hand tools, tooling, and various fabrication equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately
- Prior exposure to welding or grinding processes is a plus but not essential
