Lledr Hall Outdoor Education Centre
Grade 2B SCP 7-9 (32 hours per week)
Lledr Hall Outdoor Education Centre is Salford City Council’s residential outdoor education centre. Located near the village of Dolwyddelan, approximately 5 miles from Betws-y-Coed in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, the centre welcomes a wide range of groups from across Salford and beyond. These include school groups, young people, community organisations, staff development groups and corporate clients.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused and motivated individual to join our friendly and successful team as a Cook.
Food is an important part of every visitor's experience at Lledr Hall. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality meals and who can help create a welcoming, safe and positive environment for everyone who visits the centre.
Working as part of a small and supportive team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of catering services, ensuring meals are nutritious, well-presented and responsive to a variety of dietary requirements. You will help maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and customer care, while supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the service.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within a catering environment, a commitment to excellent customer service and the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively. You will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrate a positive and flexible approach, and share our commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and delivering excellent experiences for visitors.
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and NVQ Level 2 in Catering (or equivalent) are essential. Experience of supervising or supporting colleagues and experience within an educational, residential or visitor-focused environment would be advantageous.
We are a small, friendly staff team with a supportive and welcoming working environment. The post offers an excellent opportunity to achieve a positive work-life balance while working in one of the most beautiful outdoor locations in North Wales.
