Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting an experienced Team Manager to join a Families First Team in Durham. This is an excellent locum Team Manager opportunity for an experienced children's social care professional looking to lead a busy frontline team and drive positive outcomes for children and families.
As Team Manager, you will provide operational leadership, supervision and support to a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality practice and effective service delivery. You will oversee complex cases, promote best practice and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and strengthen families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and support a team within the Families First Service.
- Provide regular supervision, performance management and professional development.
- Oversee complex child and family cases, ensuring timely decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties, safeguarding legislation and local procedures.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Promote high-quality, child-centred social work practice across the team.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Previous experience as a Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager within Children's Services.
- Strong knowledge of children's safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.
- Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
