Due to an increase in clients and therefore additional client work we are recruiting for an accounts & tax semi-senior who is competent in preparing accounts under FRS102, including under Section 1A, together with the associated corporation tax returns. The successful candidate will also have experience of completing personal tax returns too, and should have a good working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero. The individual should have excellent client communication skills and also be able to support and develop junior members of staff by training them, answering questions and also reviewing the work of junior team members.
The role will require directly liaising with clients as well as directors and junior staff members, so excellent communication and delegation skills are essential. We would expect the successful candidate to progress to accounts/tax senior level within the firm in the next 2 to 3 years.
The role will be 100% office based as it will allow the audit team members to interact with each other to ensure that client deliverables are met.

Working in public practice in an accounting practice. The role will involve lots of client interaction, so building up a strong rapport with clients is essential to doing well in the role and will lead to progression in the firm.
Sound technical knowledge of accounting & taxation, including knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and new UK GAAP is essential. You will have a portfolio of clients that you manage as well as being responsible for junior members of the team and providing them with work and on-going feedback on their performance.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Part qualified ACA or ACCA. Experience of managing others and working in teams would be beneficial
