About The Role
This is a predominantly hands-on role. The successful candidate will lead by example, carrying out property maintenance work while supervising a small team of direct employees and subcontractors. This is not an office-based facilities management or administrative position. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and presentation of retail parks and private residential properties, primarily across the Greater Belfast area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who enjoys a varied role, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and can effectively manage both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out hands-on maintenance across a varied property portfolio, including roofing, guttering, fencing, concrete repairs and external grounds maintenance
Inspect, clean and maintain roofs, gutters and drainage systems.
Repair and maintain concrete service yards, car parks and external infrastructure.
Install and repair fencing, gates and other external property assets.
Maintain hedges, landscaped areas and external grounds.
Coordinate and supervise planned maintenance works and reactive repairs
Supervise and work alongside maintenance operatives and subcontractors.
Organise materials, plant and equipment required for each job.
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Undertake any other property maintenance duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
A positive, practical, and solution-focused approach
Strong all-round construction and property maintenance knowledge
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Proven ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
Experience supervising, coordinating, and delegating work to others
A trade background or experience as a skilled construction operative
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
A full UK driving licence
A valid CSR Card (or willingness to obtain one)
