Universal Stone Ltd is a long-established contractor with particular expertise in natural stone, delivering projects across London and the UK. Our work spans both specialist stone packages and wider construction scopes.
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, with the opportunity to develop into a broader Estimating Manager role as the department continues to grow.
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing estimates across a mix of natural stone and general construction projects, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure commercially sound and well-considered submissions.
This role offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, supporting the development and future leadership of the estimating function.
Key Responsibilities
· Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
· Prepare detailed cost estimates across stone and construction works
· Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
· Assess materials, labour, and installation methods
· Support project handover to delivery teams
· Contribute to improving estimating systems and processes
About You
· Estimating experience within construction
· Knowledge of natural stone preferred
· Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
· Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
· Organised, methodical, and reliable
· Interested in developing into a more senior / managerial role
