Elstow Pre-School is looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly team.
Our lunchtime supervisors play an important role in making sure our children have a happy, safe and enjoyable lunchtime.
The role
- Supervising children during lunchtime and outdoor play
- Supporting children with their meals and encouraging independence
- Providing one-to-one or small-group support for children with SEN, as required
- Supporting children with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
- Helping children to participate fully in lunchtime and play activities
- Following individual children’s support strategies and guidance from the SENCO/key person
- Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging independence
- Ensuring children’s individual needs are understood and appropriately supported
- Working closely with the preschool team to ensure children are safe, happy and included
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is warm, friendly and approachable
- Genuinely enjoys working with young children
- Is patient, caring and reliable
- Can work well as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to get involved
- Understands the importance of safeguarding children
Experience of working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential. What matters most to us is that you are patient, compassionate, observant and genuinely passionate about helping children to thrive.
