Start Date: September 2026 (earlier start available for candidates with existing experience)
Position: Full-Time Apprenticeship
Salary: In line with apprenticeship rates and experience.
Volta Electrical Somerset Ltd is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team.
We are happy to consider applications from:
· School leavers looking to start their career in the electrical industry.
· Candidates who have already completed a Level 1 or Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification and are looking to continue their training through an apprenticeship.
· Existing electrical apprentices at any stage of their training who, for whatever reason, are looking for a fresh opportunity to continue their apprenticeship with a supportive and growing company.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced electricians while gaining hands-on experience across a variety of domestic, commercial, and renewable energy projects.
What You'll Be Doing
· Assisting qualified electricians on-site.
· Learning electrical installation, testing and maintenance techniques.
· Supporting the team with preparation, materials handling and site organisation.
· Developing practical skills while working towards recognised industry qualifications.
· Following health and safety procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
· A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
· Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
· An interest in electrical installation and the construction industry.
Travel Requirements
Our team is based in Baltonsborough, and candidates must be able to travel to our rural base each morning.
· Have their own transport, or
· Have a reliable means of getting to Baltonsborough for the start of the working day.
