Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Event Medic (FREC 3) to provide essential medical support at various events. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering prompt, professional medical assistance to attendees, ensuring safety and well-being throughout the event. This role requires a calm demeanour, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Duties
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency care to individuals experiencing medical issues during events
- Conduct physical examinations and assess patient conditions accurately
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols
- Perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced patient care as required
- Utilise physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology knowledge to inform treatment decisions
- Implement aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection
- Manage triage processes efficiently to prioritise patient needs based on severity
- Maintain detailed records of all medical interventions and patient interactions
- Assist with the transportation of patients using appropriate equipment and driving authorised vehicles if necessary
- Ensure all medical equipment is sterile, functional, and ready for use at all times
- Collaborate with event organisers, emergency services, and other healthcare professionals as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in basic life support (BLS), patient care, and critical care environments
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Competence in injection administration, medication administration, and performing physical examinations
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain sterile procedures
- Experience with triage systems in high-pressure situations
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record preferred for transportation duties
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping
- Calm under pressure with strong decision-making capabilities during emergencies
