Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various site tasks, supporting the smooth operation of ongoing projects, and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working effectively in outdoor environments. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assisting with site clearance, including moving materials and debris to designated areas
- Preparing construction sites by digging trenches, laying foundations,
- Supporting tradespeople by handing tools and materials during construction activities
- Ensuring the work area is kept clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Assisting with loading and unloading lorries with supplies and equipment
- Following health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries
- Operating basic machinery or tools under supervision as needed
- Supporting the team in various labouring tasks to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or labouring roles is desirable but not mandatory
- Good physical fitness and stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as required
- Valid UK driving licence is essential
