Dispatch Working Team Leader – Tallington
Location: Tallington
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Pay Rate: £17.11 per hour
Reports to: Production Supervisor
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Dispatch Working Team Leader to join our team at our Tallington site.
You will lead and coordinate the yard and dispatch team, ensuring customer orders are picked, loaded and dispatched safely, accurately and efficiently. You will also support stock control, team performance and daily operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the yard/dispatch team to meet daily targets.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health & safety procedures.
- Oversee picking, stock control, loading and goods-in activities.
- Allocate work and ensure accurate job bookings.
- Support and develop team members through training and feedback.
- Work closely with Planning and Production to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Support stock counts and inventory processes.
- Drive productivity and continuous improvement.
- Provide cover for other shift leads when required.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A current and valid FLT licence.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, yard or dispatch environment.
- Experience loading and unloading HGVs.
- Team leader or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities effectively.
