Steins Foods is a growing importer and distributor of specialty and mainstream food products. We work with exciting brands from around the world and supply customers across retail, wholesale, foodservice and ecommerce.
We are looking for an ambitious National Sales Manager to help drive the next stage of our growth. This is a new-business-focused role, responsible for opening major customer and chain-store accounts for a number of our priority brands.
You will identify and approach high-value opportunities across grocery, convenience, wholesale, distribution and foodservice. You will build relationships with buyers and decision-makers, present our brands, negotiate listings and promotions, and work internally to ensure successful launches.
What you will be doing
- Win new national and high-value customer accounts for Steins Foods’ focus brands.
- Build relationships with retail buyers, wholesalers, distributors, convenience groups and foodservice customers.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of new-business opportunities.
- Lead customer meetings, product presentations, tastings and range reviews.
- Negotiate listings, pricing, promotions and commercial terms.
- Create customer-specific sales proposals and launch plans.
- Work with purchasing, operations, marketing and finance teams to deliver successful customer onboarding.
- Monitor sales, margin and account performance against agreed targets.
- Provide market feedback on competitors, customer needs and product opportunities.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in national account management, key account sales or business development within FMCG, food, drink, grocery, wholesale or consumer goods.
- A strong track record of opening new large customer accounts and securing product listings.
- Experience working directly with buyers, category managers and senior commercial contacts.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, margin and promotional planning.
- A proactive, target-driven approach and the ability to work independently.
- Highly organised, with experience managing a sales pipeline and multiple opportunities.
- A car and a Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
- Experience selling food products, imported brands, specialty foods or ambient grocery products would be an advantage, as would existing relationships with relevant buyers or customers.

Pay: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
